Last week I heard Sam Altman was affiliated with this crypto outfit called World App. I'm a big fan of Sam and I had a little money to make a risky investment with so I thought I'd just quickly drop $1000 on it. It's called world coin (WLD). Now, they are moving away from WLD as a "currency" but it's still central to the World App concept, so I figured what the hell.
I did not approach this with a greedy heart or an evil heart. I just wanted to make a fun little gamble.
Crypto is so regulated in all the wrong ways (intentionally) that it has turned my life into a living nightmare.
That thousand dollars turned into about $900 immediately after various fees.
$850 resides on coinbase who locked my account and won't let me access the money $20 is on coinex who won't let me withdraw it because i don't have enough btc to meet the minimum withdraw fee $20 got sent to the World App which has since removed WLD from it's wallet, effectively deleting the money.
None of the support people help, they all give you the runaround. So my money went to three entities, one lost my money, one stole my money, and the other is holding my money (e.g. investing it) indefinitely.
By the way if coinbase goes bankrupt all money users have in their wallets is considered an insecure loan and those users will lose their money.
I really want to be clear that I am only giving you the highlights here. Just do me a favor and if you ever meet someone who is a crypto developer please, without hesitation, punch them in their face immediately. This is for titstitstits.
* I am for crypto as a concept but I believe it's being regulated in a bad way in order to protect the dollar. So perhaps I am doing exactly what they want but on a personal level I advise you to NEVER GET INVOLVED WITH CRYPTO IN ANY WAY. Until there is a free market anyways.

Corporations boards appoint a CEO and then the CEO starts making bone head mistakes that sink the company's profits and reputations. Governments are elected at least in so called democracies and are suppose to serve the people. But lately they're trying to control peoples lives. And the ir egos cloud their judgement and then they start pushing an agenda for their own profit and they don't care if the people suffer. And before you know it corporations are out of business or a party is voted out of office. As an example the video game industry is currently under going a consumer revolt and then there's Boing's problems. It's like what i'm saying is the people in charge think they should have absolute power and then begin to control the people regardless of who gets hurt and try to dictate based on their lust for power and more for themselves.
Video game journalist used to make a living from print media and then the internet evolved. Now no one reads print media anymore or uses a website like Kotaku. They just watch a video on YouTube and then buy the game if they like it. Games journalists must be charging game companies for positive reviews and favorable coverage. Go against Journos and you get negative coverage and poor scores. And all the journos hate gamers and are danger haired feminists who are pushing Destroy Entertainment Industry or DEI. They hate us because we started a consumer revolt when they got caught with their pants down. And now journos wet dream is to Destroy Entertainment Industry to get revenge against gamers for exposing journos corruption and being corrupted by a nobody, and shaming them for it.
Gaming consultant companies like Sweet Baby Inc. Come in and say what can go into a game to make it not get in trouble with a certain audiance that doesn't exist. And if they do exist they're certainly not buying games. These consultants get payed by game companies to tell them something is wrong with their games and even the company and their businuss model and even the culture at the company and then the consultants tell them how to act and what vontent goes in the games. Because journos threw a fit at gamers and looked bad and Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo feared the public would complain about them and game journos and so they circled the wagons and made gamers the bad guys to protect game journos. Zoe Quinn must've went to Anita Sarkeesian who was big at the time and so did the game journos and they all got together and she told them how to spin gamers as the boogy man for money and to keep the public from destroying the journo profession we have to treat Zoe and Anita as in cahoots rather than seperate entities and maybe even treat Anita Sarkeesian like she told Zoe Quinn to cheat and sleep with game journos.
